How did you meet? We were introduced by mutual friends.

When and where did you get married? 24 January 2020, Peregrine Winery, Queenstown, NZ.

What was the theme/aesthetic of your big day? Classic Vogue. A traditional classic wedding with a modern approach.

What was the biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding? Relating all details to Fraser and I; our lives, our careers, our loves.

The most memorable moment from your day:

There are a few:

  • At the top of Cecil Peak when we were having photos, there was such a strong wind up there and we could hardly stand up. But we didn’t mind, we were so happy and we embraced the elements, held onto each other and we couldn’t wipe the smiles from our faces. We kept whispering and laughing to each other, we were on top of the world!

  • Popping magnums of Peregrine Methode Traditionelle Fraser had made especially for our wedding with our fabulous bridal party on the ridge of Peregrine. Bottles were shaken to celebrate, guests were cheering from a distance, it was a special moment.

  • An incredible moment for all our guests was during our reception. Unexpectedly a New Zealand Falcon bird appeared which all guests watched in amazement as it did a flight display directly in front of the reception wing for a good minute. This is not typical, so it was a very special moment.

The biggest hit on the dance floor was: We had the best band, LA Social, they had everyone up from the first dance and no one left the floor until the end.

We honeymooned in: The Maldives, it was the most perfect Honeymoon!

Tell us about the search for your dream dress?

  • My bridal look was ‘Classic Vogue’.

  • I had an idea in mind of exactly what I wanted, so I went to Trish Peng who created it perfectly.

  • I have always had a love of abstract bows and I adored Audrey Hepburn’s style, so I used this as inspiration.

  • Trish linked my love of abstract bows with a connection to the wing of the Peregrine Falcon bird.

  • Style: simplicity, elegant, sophisticated, classic vogue.

  • Fabric: Structured, plain.

  • Soft lowered V neckline, low back.

  • Feature Detail: Large abstract bow train (detachable).

  • Veil: Trish wanted a 5 metre veil to suit the long dramatic aisle.

  • Shoes: Valentino - Fraser gifted me these stunning shoes on the morning of our wedding.

  • Earrings: My Grandmother’s that my Grandfather gifted to me when she passed away.

  • I had a photo of my grandmother in my bouquet.

  • Mother of the Bride, Janice Cochrane also wore a dress that Trish designed and made for her to go with my style.
