Bring pictures of dresses you’ve seen on our website, in magazines, or that you’ve tried on elsewhere. You are also welcome to bring your own heels, nude underwear is preferable and wear light makeup. Kindly no fake tan.

Our sample sizes vary from NZ size 8 through to 26 If you are wanting to try on a specific dress feel free to email ahead to check what sizes we have available.

Yes, if you select a dress from our collections, we will make your dress to the closest standard size on our size chart. Alterations are additional.

Your full consultation fee will be deducted from your dress if you book a Bridal Consultation 60min or 90min | Consultation with Trish If you book a Deluxe High Tea consultation - a portion of $250 will go towards your dress. Consultation fees can only go towards a dress (not accessories or other products).

Absolutely, we encourage you to bring friends & family who you trust and value their opinion. Each consultation package has a different number of guests you can bring. You are more than welcome to video call in any guests during the appointment.
After your appointment

You can order your dream dress at any time - it is never too early, however, we have provided our recommendations below as this is a frequently asked question. If you are getting a dress from our collections, we recommend placing an order at least 8 to 10 months before your wedding date - this just ensures that we have enough time for production and alterations.
For a custom wedding dress, we recommend that brides to start this process at least 8 to 12 months before their big day as bespoke designs require specialty fabrics to be ordered and multiple fittings Providing we have the capacity, we can make dresses in a shorter time frame, however, this may incur a rush fee.

To confirm your dress we take a 70% deposit, the remaining balance is due at your first fitting. Any additional costs must be paid before the final fitting. Payment must be received before any work commences and payment is accepted either by bank deposit, cash or credit card payment. Arrangements of payments can also be paid in instalments until the balance is cleared, full payment must be made before collection - Please enquire if you would like to do so.

We take EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, direct deposits or cash. We can also take credit card payments over the phone if required.
Custom process

For custom wedding dresses, book a consultation with Trish, she works with the bride to design their dream dress, creating a completely bespoke gown. Trish only has the capacity to create 20 custom dresses a year.
Custom dresses are made to the client’s measurements, the price includes all alterations and allows for fluctuation in size. This process includes a mock-up of the dress in a calico/cotton fabric to ensure you are happy with the design and fit before we start on the real dress in your chosen fabric We have around 4 to 5 fittings with you leading up to your big day.
Our custom dresses are made right here in New Zealand You will receive a copy of your sketch in a custom-bound Trish Peng folder upon collection of your dress

Our Custom Dresses vary in price based on the detail. It really depends on the fabric & details of your dream dress. Send us an email with what you are interested in and we will give you an estimate quote hello@trishpeng.com.
When providing a custom design quote we may give you a price range - we do this simply because the actual price will vary depending on what fabrics are chosen and how much is required, so this just allows for a variance. The final price will be determined at your mockup fitting once the design and fabric has been finalised or earlier if you know exactly what you are after.

Unfortunately, we cannot replicate another design due to copyright reasons, however, we can create something similar, Trish can help bring the elements you love and make the dress your own design.

We are happy to do minor customisations to an existing design from our collections. Eg. lower neckline, removing sleeves, lower back etc

We certainly do! Most of our out of Auckland brides who would like a custom dress will book a video consultation with Trish where she sketches up your design. It helps if you have tried on dresses before and know which direction you would like to go with.

Trish sources all the fabric, we source luxurious fabrics from all around the world.
Many of the classic fabrics and linings sourced from local Auckland suppliers. If you choose a couture design, we will hand bead the lace to your measurements.
Alterations

We certainly do! Our workroom is right behind our Grey Lynn boutique. We offer in-house alterations for dresses purchased with us. Alteration costs vary depending on what is required. Alterations packages range from around $950 - $1250

If you select a dress from our collections, we would book you in for your first fitting around 6 weeks before your wedding to ensure the perfect fit. We may only need 2 to 3 fittings. If you select a custom dress with us, your first mock-up fitting will be around 6 months before your wedding.
Accessories

We custom make each veil with the most beautiful soft tulle. We recommend 3-4 months lead-time, always great to try the veil on when your gown is almost completed to see the full effect.

Yes, we are the exclusive stockist for Amelie George Earrings, which are the perfect match for any wedding dress. We also stock Nancy Ganz undergarments and have our own veils and robes.
International Brides

Absolutely! We have many international brides. We would simply have a professional tailor take your measurements so we can create a dress as close to your measurements. We would then ship your dress to you in time for alterations to be done locally.
