How did you meet?
We originally met at a mutual friends BBQ where I was too shy to go up to talk to him and then a few months later we found ourselves dancing the night away in a club in Auckland!

When and where did you get married?
We got married on the 28 January 2022 at Kauri Bay Boomrock.

What was the theme/aesthetic of your big day?
The theme was a classical white wedding but with a twist of modern and glam! We didn’t want to over do it in terms of decorating as the venue is so beautiful on its own and we wanted everyone to take it all in.

What was the biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding?
Ever since I was 11 I had my wedding planned out so planning and making the day come to life was relatively easy for me. I knew exactly what I wanted in terms of design but finding inspiration Online helped with making it modern, chic and timeless.

The most memorable moment from your day?
My first look with Sam, he instantly made me feel calm and very relaxed or Our first dance (Just the two of us - Gover Washington, it was the song he proposed to!) There are so many it’s hard to choose, could not fault our big day. It was perfect.

The biggest hit on the dance floor was?
Now this is hard! The dance floor was full from the second dinner was over, our DJ knew exactly what to play and when. But if I had to choose one song it would be Hold on - Wilson Phillips.

We honeymooned in?
Kaikoura and Marlborough, so beautiful exploring our own Country. Ideally we would of loved to have gone to Europe but Covid has had other ideas.

Did you always have an idea in mind of what you wanted your dress to look like?
I knew I wanted something with no lace. I tried on a lot of tight fitting and elegant dresses but when leaving Trish Peng one day I saw the Marinol hanging up, I couldn’t get it out of my head so had to go back and try it on. I loved it! Trish and Ashleigh were amazing at helping me personalise it to my body and with quite a few changes it was everything I dreamed of and more! I had nothing but compliments the whole day!
