After the whirlwind of wedding planning and the most magical wedding day, there was nothing better than taking time to slow down and soak in newlywed bliss. Tim and I actually waited six months before heading off on our honeymoon - we wanted to take our time, choose somewhere truly special, and make the most of it. And let me tell you… It was SO worth the wait.

We jetted off to one of the most breathtaking destinations in the world - the Maldives - and stayed at the stunning SO Maldives, nestled in the heart of the Emboodhoo Lagoon. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were living in a postcard. The overwater bungalow was a total bucket list experience - waking up to the sound of the waves, stepping out onto our private deck with endless views of the turquoise ocean, and watching the sun dip below the horizon each evening. Pure magic. Our bungalow also had its own private pool and over-water hammock where we sipped on champagne and really just got to enjoy each other’s company.

Our days were blissfully slow and sun-soaked. We kayaked across crystal-clear waters, explored the island by bike, and each evening, took a romantic stroll to dinner under the stars. It was the perfect mix of luxury, adventure, and relaxation - everything we could have dreamed of and more.
