Tell us the story of how you met.
Chris and I met at Tyler Street Garage in 2014. He was the manager of the bar and I was applying for a waitressing role. I had never worked in hospo but I somehow got the job! We both worked on Mondays when it was extremely quiet, so we got to know each other while we cleaned out fridges and polished wine bottles

Tell us about the proposal story…

We went for a spontaneous trip to Queenstown. We had spent the whole day skiing and finished the day off by going for a walk around Queenstown lake. By this point I was pretty cold, wet and wasn't that keen to go for a walk, all i wanted was to get back to the hotel for a spa! But Chris convinced me, I’m so glad I did because he ended up getting down on one knee!

What was your biggest source of inspiration when planning your wedding? Did you have a specific theme/aesthetic?

I just wanted to be timeless and classic. Unfortunately it rained on our day so the layout changed quite drastically meaning we had to bring the whole wedding indoors. It was still such a special, beautiful day but my advice for future brides would be to have a wet weather plan that you love!

What was your most memorable moment from your wedding day?

The Speeches, The speeches were so beautiful and it was the first time I felt like I could relax, as it had been go go go since 6am! Also having everyone who means something to us all in the same room celebrating love! There's no other feeling like it. AND getting into my mini (I called her the cloud) It was the best feeling ever, I absolutely loved my mini, she was such a moment!

Tell us the story behind your dress. Did you always know what you wanted it to look like?

Yes! I knew I wanted a 2 piece dress, I had seen it done a few years ago and I knew at that moment that was the dress design for me! It was so special working with Trish (bit of a pinch me moment). For my first appointment with Trish we tried on lots of different wedding dress styles but I was still leaning towards the 2 piece. I explained it to Trish and right then and there she sketched the whole dress out, it was insane watching my vision come to life on paper.

Did you have a honeymoon after the big day? If so, where did you go?

We went to Europe and it was an absolute dream! It was my first time over there and I didnt want to leave!
