Can you describe the aesthetic for your ceremony? :

Our elevated ceremony site looks out to the mountains, through Poplar and Pine Oak groves adjacent to the Woolshed with a canvas like backdrop for our guests.  The isle was lined with rustic Sheppard’s hooks filled with gypsophila leading to our ceremony platform where stood two large oak wine barrels with stunning soft pale, dusky pink, lilac and mauve floral arrangements filled with roses and peonies.

What did you and your hubby wear?

I was in a custom Trish Peng gown which I couldn’t have dreamt for a dress more perfect.  Trish and I picked everything from the lining to the lace and the pearl beaded straps which absolutely glistened in the light.

I had soft romantic hair and make-up which was perfected by the lovely ladies at Pure Hair Studio, Queenstown and my dear friend Olivia Wild who made me feel like an absolute princess.

Kael was dressed in a three-piece Barkers suit which he custom tailored and pieced with his grandmother’s late husband’s pocket watch.

How did you meet?
Kael and I meet nearly four years ago and became engaged in September 2018.  Our relationship together has been full of laughter, love and support.
Sharing homemade brunch, good coffee and a lot of it, and a mutual love of the humble house plant are amongst some of our favourite things we love to do as a couple.
Realising Kael could cook and made me made laugh constantly was enough to seal the deal for me, where for Kael the fact I actually laughed at his jokes, and I could cook – he had met the one person who would always have his back. Kael makes me simply feel like the most beautiful woman in the world.

Having designed my engagement ring several months prior, he took me for a walk at Bethell’s Beach in September 2018. The walk was not a short one but, it is one I will never forget as he got done on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him overlooking the cliffs of Bethell’s Beach. The answer of course, a big yes.

When and where did you get married?

On 29 November 2019 we tied the knot in Wanaka, NZ.  Criffel Station Woolshed truly resonated with us and was the one and only venue we visited and absolutely fell in love with the beautiful rustic charm situated in deer farmlands and mountains.  It was an authentic and perfect setting for an unforgettable day

What did the wedding party wear?

The Bridesmaid’s were in silver Bec and Bridge slip dresses, nude heels and baroque pearl earrings with were designed and made by me.  Their hair was in soft romantic waves with braids either side and pinned softly with gypsophila.  Their makeup was natural and romantic making the bridesmaids look like garden fairies.

The groomsmen were so handsome, dressed in stone Barkers suits which complimented both Kael and the bridesmaids.

What was the lead up to the wedding like?

My bridesmaids and I stayed at a cottage on site where we awoke to a gorgeous still morning with deer grazing right outside our window.  It was a slow and relaxing morning with laughs, tears and a lot of coffee!

Kael and the groomsmen spent the morning clay-bird shooting and sipping champagne after helping set up at the venue.  Kael and his identical twin brother are very creative, drawing all of the chalk boards together and I had the upmost confidence they would do a great job helping decorate!

The groomsmen were so handsome, dressed in stone Barkers suits which complimented both Kael and the bridesmaids.
